
JJC Group reaches 1 million recordable injury-free work hours at the Quellaveco mining project
Lima, June 30, 2026. With more than 70 years of experience contributing to the development of the country and the region, Grupo JJC reaffirms its commitment to the safety and well-being of its employees by reaching an important milestone in one of the mining sector’s most challenging projects. As part of the Quellaveco Expansion Project, the organization surpassed 1,000,000 man-hours without a recordable personal injury, a result of sustained efforts, operational efficiency, and a safety culture grounded in conviction and values.
This achievement was recognized by Anglo American and its strategic project partner, SMI-Fluor, highlighting the commitment of all the teams involved. Sebastián Martin, General Manager of Grupo JJC, together with David Michelon, SSOMAC Manager, Eddy Cuellar, Project Manager, and Jorge Garro, Project SSOMA Manager, participated in a recognition ceremony for all employees, acknowledging their efforts and ongoing commitment to safety.
In this regard, Sebastián Martin stated: “Reaching this milestone on such a complex project is a great source of satisfaction and genuine pride for everyone.
